Wengerboch Musi

Wengerboch Musi

Ludwig Biegel, Dominik Meissnitzer, Anton Mooslechner (Leit'n Toni jun.) and Philipp Klieber have come together as the Wengerboch Musi. The name is derived from the "Wengerboch", a small mountain stream in Werfenweng. Dominik lives here in one of Pongau's villages, while Miesbach is Ludwig's home town.

Despite the great distance, they regularly make music together because all Wengerboch musicians share a passion for traditional folk music. The foursome are particularly fond of "Soat'nmusi" (for all Non-Bavarians: string music) and so their repertoire includes many of their own compositions as well as pieces by well-known folk musicians such as Klaus Karl, Gottfried Hartl, Florin Pallhuber, Harti Pilsner, Tobi Reiser and others.

Various radio recordings have been made for BR and ORF. The award at the Alpine Folk Music Competition in Innsbruck in 2016 is one of the Wengerboch Musi's greatest successes. There they were also awarded the coveted Herma-Haselsteiner Prize.
