Stefan Hackl

Stefan Hackl, Dr. phil., born in 1954, teaches at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium and at the Mozarteum Salzburg/Innsbruck, Austria, numerous winners of national and international competitions have come out of his classes. He has particularly worked with historical instruments and playing techniques, 19th century chamber music and folk music with an emphasis on the Austrian guitar tradition.

There are numerous publications by Stefan Hackl in different periodicals (Gitarre&Laute, Gitarre aktuell, Il Fronimo, Gendai Guitar, Soundboard, Zeitschrift für Musikpaedagogik, etc.), editions (Doblinger, Edition Helbling) and CDs (e.g. the multimedia-documentation 200 years of folk guitar in Tirol).
